Buz and Peggy Gosnell are your Innkeepers at Bear Creek Crossing B&B Inn. Buz is a direct descendent of Meshack Browning, one of Garrett County’s very first settlers. Meshack was a famous wildlife hunter and the author of “Forty-Four Years Of The Life Of A Hunter.” His historic rifle is now at the Smithsonian Museum. Buz is a corporate pilot by trade, whose extensive travels enable him to converse with guests and make them feel welcome from the time they arrive. Peggy is originally from Pittsburgh, PA. Her grandfather built one of the original log cabins on Deep Creek Lake in 1920 which is still standing today. They have twin daughters who received their commissions from the United States Naval Academy. Rachael is serving as a Surface Warfare Officer and Stephenie after serving in the Marines, is practicing law in New York. “After traveling extensively in Europe with our daughters, we realized the DEEP CREEK LAKE / WISP RESORT area was missing traditional Bed&Breakfast Inn establishments of private homes for visitors which are so common in Europe. We feel that our traditional, friendly B&B Inn is a wonderful way to introduce and welcome visitors to the area.”
