Buz and Peggy Gosnell are your Innkeepers at Bear Creek Crossing B&B. Buz is a direct descendent of Meshack Browning, one of Garrett County’s very first settlers. Meshack was a famous historic wildlife hunter and the author of the book “Forty-Four Years Of The Life Of A Hunter” who’s rifle is now at the Smithsonian Museum. Buz is a corporate pilot by trade, whose extensive travel enables him to converse with guests and make them feel welcome from the time they arrive. Peggy is originally from Pittsburgh, PA. Her grandfather built one of the original log cabins on Deep Creek Lake, which is still standing today. They have twin daughters who received their commissions from the United States Naval Academy. Rachael is serving as a Surface Warfare Officer and Stephenie after serving in the Marines, is attending Stanford Law School. “After traveling extensively in Europe with our daughters, we realized the DEEP CREEK LAKE/WISP RESORT area was missing traditional Bed&Breakfast establishments of private homes for visitors which are so common in Europe. We feel that our traditional, friendly B&B is a wonderful way to introduce and welcome visitors to the area.”
